Hangin' with E. Judd

Brandon's sister, Emily came to visit last week. Here's some pics from our epic week. Enjoy!

We made a trip to the Magic Kingdom, you can't come to Orlando and not go there!

It was so hot, we went in bathing suits intending to get wet...We got SOAKED!

RRRRRRR ye mateys!

We took a picture with Pluto after he sniffed up Brandon

Made a stop in Chinatown at Animal Kingdom

You'd think we were in CA... I wish!

Space Mountain. We obviously weren't prepared for the picture. They took it at the very beginning who does that!? Well it made for a pretty funny pic... maybe that's why...?

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger. So this ride was WAY better than the one at Disneyland, however, the guns at Disneyland are WAY better than Disney World. And Disneyland lets you email the pic to yourself for free. They make you pay for it at Disney World, unless you're me and you take a picture of the picture, then it's free! :)

Cocoa Beach

Brandon and Emily riding doubles

Emily came to learn how to wakeboard, she did pretty good for not ever being able to get up before this trip

She got some air without meaning to. Awesome!

Chillin on the boat

Riding doubles with Brandon

CLASSIC!

Thanks Emily for coming to visit us all the way out here in FL. We had a blast hope you had fun too! We can't wait to hang out with you again. :)

Shenanigans

These shenanigans took place on the lake behind our house.  I was in the boat that was making the rollers that the tubers hit.  There were some gnarly crashes.  Enjoy!

Kickin' it at Disney World

Our good friends from CA were in FL last week visiting family and took time to come play with us at Disney World. And a big THANKS to those that hooked us up! :) Here's some pics from our awesome day!

Welcome to the happiest place on Earth!

We first jumped on a safari in Africa where the animals did some modeling for us...

Then we headed over to Mt. Everest where we paid respect to the Yetti and had the ride of our lives!

Andrea and I with the Tree of Life

Now you can't really tell from this copy but basically I'm scared out of my mind here. But as much as I hate Tower of Terror I must admit the TT at Disney World is WAAAAAY better than the one at CA Adventure!

Next we took a QUICK cab ride to Aerosmith's concert...

And got a little lost in Hollywood...had to take a min to check the map. I travel lite.

Poor Brandon was sick of taking pictures but our posterity needs to know that we had fun as a young married couple! Our kids will be thankful for these one day...

Where are we going? EPCOT! (inside joke sorry)

Yay for awesome friends! We love you guys! Thanks so much for taking time to play with us!

Lookin' Good!

I did my first "official" photo shoot in FL (Mr. Turtle doesn't count, he stiffed me on my money.) So with the exception of standing in an ant hill with bare feet, I felt the shoot went rather well. This is Megan. She's one of the young women in my ward. She has an audition to be one of the princess characters at Disney World this week and needed some head shots done. I think she's got Cinderella written all over her! Good luck with the audition Megan I'm sure you'll knock 'em dead!

Also as a side note, I had some fun trying out something new with "textures" I'm still trying to get the hang of it but I think they turned out pretty well, I'll let you be the judge. Enjoy!

Deep Thoughts

We found this guy kickin it in our backyard this morning... He graciously posed for a few pics but then turned his nose up at me and walked away when he had enough. Almost as though he's used to the picture taking and thought to himself, "Alright have your fun but I'm out when I say I'm out!" He's a very grumpy Mr. Turtle... Unless that's just the way his face is, he can't help but look grumpy and being slow doesn't help his case either... but maybe just maybe on the inside he really is a happy Mr. Turtle!

I can see my house from here!

Pro rider Kevin Henshaw lives a few houses down from us on our lake. He built a floating rail that I can see from my back porch. Here's the Video that they made about it. Our house is the white one in the background. :) Nice Riding Kevin!

I'm not crying!

So it turns out I cry... a lot. My poor husband has to put up with it and does such a great job. I don't know why I get so sensitive, I try hard not to but sometimes I just can't help myself. I blame my dad really. He cried when I gave him an Elvis #1 Hits CD one year for Christmas. He's the one that coined the phrase "There must be a Target store opening somewhere." Meaning we cry at Target store openings... which I don't understand why you'd cry over something like that... but I guess that's the point isn't it? We don't know why we cry at most the things we cry at. I was told I cried a lot as a kid and for all those who had to endure those days I am truly sorry. As I grew up I thought that I was much better at controlling it and could go quite awhile without a tear on my face (except for maybe some brief moments here and there but certainly not often.) But as I've gotten older I've just become more sensitive and I'm not sure who it drives more crazy - me or Brandon. Half the time I deny the fact that my eyes have watered up, to me this isn't "crying" - yet! Crying is where tears have actually streamed down the face. However, Brandon's definition is different so when I deny it it drives him crazy. I deny it because I know that half- okay, more than half the time I realize it's for a stupid reason and I wish that I wasn't crying. In fact sometimes I cry harder because I'm crying... and then I am literally crying because I am crying... it's a vicious cycle.

One night my eyes watered up over who knows what and Brandon asked, "Are you crying?" To which I replied, "No." He said, "Yes you are! There's mascara on your pillow." And my response? "I was sweating!"

That is why this song is so truly amazing! Some campers (at The Wakeboard Camp) were watching Flight of the Conchords the other day and this song came on. I told Brandon that he had to come listen to it. We laughed really hard, therefore, I had to blog about it.
